Monica holds a Medical Degree from
The Geisel School of Medicine at
Dartmouth University and is a current
Professor of Biology at SUNY Ulster.
She is an experienced tutor in biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and standardized test prep. Monica is also a fluent Spanish speaker and has lived and worked in Chile, Argentina, and Ecuador. When she is not tutoring or teaching, she also works part time as a professional violist in the Hudson Valley and Greater New York City area.
Alyssa graduated from Wellesley
College with degrees in Music and
American Studies. For the past six
years she has tutored a range of
subjects including mathematics,
humanities, Latin, music theory, and standardized test prep. In addition to her work with SR Tutors, Alyssa also works at Carnegie Hall in Digital Content & Engagement and is the Administrative Director for Sing This Summer. She directs the children’s choir Basilica Voices, and teaches vocal music in the Conservatory Program at the Dwight School.
Alejandro graduated from Princeton
University with a degree in Computer
Science and a minor in Latin American
Studies. Alejandro also manages a
tutoring program for incarcerated students in New York’s correctional facilities. Alejandro is a native Spanish speaker who grew up in France. He tutors various subjects including all levels of math, programming, Spanish and French.
Natalie graduated from Bowdoin
college with degrees in Economics
and Physics. As a former writer and
editor at Bowdoin's weekly paper, she
also brings great writing experience to her students. Natalie has experience tutoring a wide range of subjects, including math, science, the humanities, and standardized test preparation.
Since graduating from Wellesley College
with a degree in French, Amy has worked
as a high school math teacher and literary
magazine editor. She is currently enrolled at
Columbia University's PostBac Pre-Med
Program. Her broad educational and professional
background has allowed her to tutor a wide range of subjects, and her teaching experience has made her a hit with our students.
A graduate of Amherst College and
a former Thomas J. Watson Fellow,
Keith Romer has been tutoring in
New York City for 15 years. In that
time Keith has worked with students
from most of New York's top private and public schools, making him well versed in the wide range of curriculums and expectations students face. Keith is also the creator of the SR Tutors ACT Prep program, our student-focused plan for standardized test mastery.
Brooklyn native Josh Sohn is a
graduate of Stuyvesant High
School and Wesleyan University.
He's been tutoring in and around
New York City since 2001 and has
taught everything from AP English to BC Calculus. In 2005, Josh designed his own SAT curriculum, which he has since used with over 500 students. In 2015, Josh developed a program for the NEW SAT.
